As part of a coalition of civil society organisations (Migrant Democracy Project and Polish Migrants Organise for Change [POMOC] ), Omar was awarded a grant to collect innovative data on local councillors in London as part of the 2022 Civic Data Innovation Challenge funded by the Mayor of London and Impact on Urban Health.

One of the main aims of this project is produce data to better measure the representativeness and diversity of local councillors in London. This is a first-stage project, with a possibility for scaling up after this first stage is complete.
